Accused of making the expensive wine seized from Ergys Agasi disappear, his cousin is arrested after eight months on the run

Eno Agasi, the cousin of Ergys Agasi — the latter accused of being the head of a criminal group operating inside AKSHI and arrested earlier — has been arrested after eight months on the run.

Eno Agasi had been wanted after the Tirana Court imposed the “prison arrest” security measure on him, for making the expensive bottles of wine disappear that were seized by SPAK in December 2025, when his cousin was declared wanted.

After the inventory was made, the wine had been left in the cellar, since it could not be transported at night by customs, but when they went the next day to collect it, the wine had been removed.

Eno Agasi is being investigated for money laundering and for actions obstructing the uncovering of the truth.

His cousin, Ergys Agasi, also ended up in handcuffs a few weeks earlier. He is accused of serious crimes committed within a criminal group operating inside the National Agency for the Information Society.

The investigations are reported to have been followed by prosecutor Bledar Valikaj, who had earlier transferred the investigations into Ergys Agasi to SPAK, while pursuing the investigation into his cousin.
