Law on the Specialist Chambers, Ramadani asks for the session to be called today

Alliance MP Burim Ramadani has asked for the plenary session to be called today and for the amendments to the Law on the Specialist Court to be voted on, Telegrafi reports.

Ramadani, in a Facebook post, writes that citizens have been demanding this for 17 days now in protest.

“Call the session today, immediately! Let us vote on the law that citizens have been demanding for 17 days in protest! What are you waiting for?”, Ramadani writes.

Otherwise, the Government on Friday approved the assessment on the amendments to the Law on the Specialist Chambers.

The Government approved the decision regarding the request of the Assembly of Kosovo for a Legislative Initiative for “Draft Law No. 11/L-001 on amending and supplementing Law No. 05/L-053 on the Specialist Chambers and the Specialist Prosecutor’s Office”.

According to the decision, the Government will forward to the Assembly the assessment that includes the legal opinion on the draft law’s compatibility with the European Union Acquis, the assessment of the budgetary impact, and the legal opinion regarding the content of the draft law.
