After Rama, Wendt meets Hoxha: Strengthening the strategic partnership and expanding investment

After Prime Minister Edi Rama, the new ambassador of the United States to Albania, Eric Wendt, has met the Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Ferit Hoxha.

In a post on social media, Hoxha stressed that the meeting focused on strengthening the strategic partnership and expanding opportunities in the economy and investment.

Hoxha’s reaction

“A particular pleasure to welcome Ambassador Eric Wendt to Albania and to the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs, at our first meeting. The United States remains one of Albania’s closest and most valued strategic partners.

Our relationship rests on shared democratic values, on a strong security partnership within NATO and on a long-standing friendship between our peoples. The traces of the United States at key and defining moments of Albania’s history are indelible and remain a powerful foundation for our strategic partnership, strong and ever deepening.

I look forward to working closely together to deepen our bilateral relations further, including to expand economic and investment opportunities, to strengthen cooperation for regional security and stability, and to respond to the global challenges that require close coordination among allies.
