Albanian Arrested in Italy, Caught With 414 Kilograms of Cannabis Worth Over €4 Million

A 29-year-old Albanian man has fallen into the hands of Italian police after more than 414 kilograms of cannabis, worth over €4 million, were found in his possession. According to Italian media, the drugs seized in Guidonia were ready to be sold at drug-trafficking hubs in Rome and the surrounding province.

The 29-year-old Albanian was stopped as he tried to load several large suitcases into the trunk of his car. The first 98 kilograms of cannabis were found inside the suitcases. The investigation then continued with a bunch of keys found on the young man, which turned out to open several premises used as depots in the Guidonia and Rome areas.

In one of the premises, a considerable part of the narcotics was kept inside refrigerators, which were used as storage depots for the drugs.

During searches of the young man’s various premises, including a garage, investigators found materials used for packaging doses and several handwritten sheets containing the calculation and counting of the drugs.
