Balla reacts after Constitutional Court ruling: I thank the opposition for Endri Shabani’s candidacy, this is a good example of cooperation

The head of the Socialist Party’s parliamentary group, Taulant Balla, has reacted after the Constitutional Court’s decision on the election of the People’s Advocate (Ombudsman).

In a social media post, Balla thanked opposition MPs for proposing Endri Shabani’s candidacy for People’s Advocate.

“A thank you to the opposition MPs for their proposal of Endri Shabani’s candidacy for People’s Advocate. The Laws Committee and Parliament acted entirely in line with the Constitution, and today the Constitutional Court gave its verdict. This is a good example of what cooperation looks like,” Balla wrote.

Balla described the Constitutional Court’s decision as a confirmation of the procedure followed by the Laws Committee and Parliament, holding it up as an example of cooperation between the majority and the opposition.
