Bellingham named England ‘Player of the Year’: ‘It’s an honour’
Jude Bellingham has been named England’s Player of the Year for the second year in a row following his outstanding performances on the international stage.
Bellingham won the prestigious award after an extraordinary summer at the 2026 World Cup. He scored seven goals, breaking the record for most goals scored by an Englishman in a single World Cup tournament.
Reflecting on the award, Bellingham expressed his gratitude to the fans who voted, calling it an extraordinary privilege to be chosen for the second year in a row.
“It feels really good,” Bellingham said.
“It’s a huge honour to be chosen again by the fans. So, it’s not something you think about when you play for your country, but it’s certainly a lovely little addition to the wonderful summer we had and the honour of playing for my country.”
