Berisha speaks after leaving SPAK: They had filled the corridor with files
Democratic Party leader Sali Berisha appeared at SPAK this Monday to comply with the “obligation to appear” security measure, in the framework of the case over the former “Partizani” sports complex.
After appearing at SPAK, Berisha said he had left a note.
“Now you are all curious about what I found there. There, everyone was getting their suitcases ready.
They were getting their suitcases ready, they had filled the corridor with files that they seem to be taking to burn, and they were cheering ‘long live the Socialist Party’”, he said.
The DP leader went on to accuse SPAK of remaining silent about the changes to the Criminal Procedure Code, claiming that they harm investigations and the prosecution process.
“SPAK stayed silent as a blade of grass when Rama pushed through the law that deals a fatal blow to the investigation, because they are a section of the SP. Inside there they were cheering ‘Long live the Socialist Party’. Meanwhile, I was informed from Strasbourg that the Council of Europe is absolutely not in agreement with any of these”, Berisha said.
According to him, SPAK’s silence on these changes shows that the institution is part of a plot to “destroy the investigative service”.
