Protest outside the Assembly escalates: pyrotechnics thrown at the building, police presence reinforced

The protest taking place in front of the Kosovo Assembly building has escalated: during the protest, pyrotechnic devices were also thrown in front of the Assembly, as Klan Kosova reports.

While an extraordinary session is being held inside the Assembly to review the Draft Law on amending and supplementing the Law on the Specialist Chambers, the protest continues outside the building, with protesters gathered in front of the Assembly since the early hours of the morning, demanding the approval of the Draft Law on Speciale.

Chants in support of the KLA are being heard during the protest, while protesters are holding red-and-black flags and banners with various messages, Klan Kosova reports.

Police presence has been reinforced in the area in front of the Assembly, while protesters continue to stand in front of the building. MPs are meanwhile debating the changes to the Law on the Specialist Chambers.
