Berisha welcomes agreement of Albanian parties in the Presevo Valley: All Albanians should take part in the elections

The chairman of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, has welcomed the agreement reached between the Albanian political entities of Presevo, Bujanovac and Medvedja to run on a joint list in Serbia’s parliamentary elections.

In a reaction published on social media, Berisha described the agreement as a positive development in the interest of the Albanians living in these municipalities.

He called on Albanians, both those living in these areas and those in emigration, to take part in the elections in order to secure the best possible political representation.

According to Berisha, the Albanian political forces reached an agreement yesterday in Prishtina, in the presence of the Prime Minister of Kosovo, to take part with the joint list “Albanian Coalition” in the early elections of the Republic of Serbia.

“An agreement to be welcomed! The Democratic Party welcomes this agreement, which is also in the best interest of the Albanians in these Serbian municipalities inhabited by Albanians, who are still the most oppressed minority in Europe by the Belgrade regime. The Democratic Party calls on all Albanians resident in these municipalities or in emigration to take part in these elections to secure the best possible representation of the Albanians of their municipalities,” Berisha wrote on social media.
