Bosnian firm TRB to supply Serbia with “Vihor” and “Despot” combat vehicles — opens factory in Loznica

Bosnian company “Tehnički remont Bratunac” (TRB) will supply Serbia with “Vihor” and “Despot” combat vehicles and open a production unit in Loznica, the company’s majority owner Slavenko Ristić announced, as SeeNews reports.

As Bosnian media report, Ristić said Serbia would buy “serious quantities” of armored vehicles developed and produced in Bratunac, adding that he was personally invited by Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić. The exact number of vehicles and the deal’s financial value have not been made public.

“Despot” is perhaps TRB’s best-known product — a multi-purpose armored vehicle designed for various police and security tasks. TRB employs more than 300 people in Bratunac and sells its products in many international markets.

The Loznica unit marks the company’s first production foothold on Serbian territory; details such as the investment value, the size of the unit and the number of workers have not yet been announced.
