‘Broadway Flea Market’ saved from the storm: 40th edition moves indoors to the Hammerstein Ballroom on Sunday
The 40th edition of the Broadway Flea Market and Grand Auction has been moved indoors to the Hammerstein Ballroom on Sunday due to the storm.
The event is organized by Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS, and the money raised goes to support the organization’s work against HIV/AIDS.
This year’s auction includes some of the most sought-after items in the history of American theatre: a pair of boots signed by Denzel Washington from the production “Othello” and an armchair signed by George Clooney from “Good Night, and Good Luck”.
The items on offer span from rare theatre memorabilia to opportunities to meet Broadway stars in person.
