Caitlin Clark grades Fever’s defense after loss to A’ja Wilson and the Aces

Caitlin Clark gave a blunt assessment of the Indiana Fever’s performance after their 102-85 loss in Game 1 against the Las Vegas Aces: asked how she would grade the team’s defense on A’ja Wilson, she replied quickly, “An F.”

As Bleacher Report reports, Wilson led the Aces with 38 points and 16 rebounds, finishing 15-of-19 from the field in a remarkably efficient night; the Aces shot 59% from the field and 47% from three in the runaway win.

Clark, meanwhile, had a difficult evening with just 15 points on 6-of-17 shooting. Center Aliyah Boston led the Fever with 18 points, while Sophie Cunningham added 13 off the bench.

According to Bleacher Report, the Fever and Aces will play Game 2 of the series on Tuesday in Indiana, where Indianapolis will try to respond to avoid elimination.
