Cannabis distribution network hit, buyers caught with weapons, dealer flees

The police operation codenamed “Shitblerja” has hit a cannabis distribution hub in the city of Elbasan, seizing over 1 kilogram of cannabis, weapons and sums of money obtained from criminal activity.

The action carried out by the Narcotics Investigation Section, the “Shqiponja” Special Force and the operational structures, under the direction of the Prosecution, focused on the home of the 40-year-old with the initials K. N. During the search carried out, Police services found and seized 1 kilogram and 130 grams of cannabis sativa (part of it divided into doses ready for sale), an electronic scale, an unlicensed hunting weapon, as well as 71,700 lekë and €100. The owner of the drugs was not at home during the intervention and was immediately declared wanted.

During the operation around the home, the police also tracked down two customers. The citizen B. D., 37, was caught near the home with a cold weapon (a knife) on him as he was going to buy doses, while the 20-year-old with the initials A. S. was caught with a quantity of cannabis bought earlier from the wanted 40-year-old. Both of these citizens have been proceeded against at liberty, while the materials were passed to the Elbasan Prosecution for further action.

Elbasan/A case of selling narcotics is hit.

A quantity of the narcotic substance cannabis is seized, part of it divided into doses, ready for sale, sums of money in lekë and euros, suspected to have been obtained from the sale of the narcotic substance, and other illegal items.

The citizen who possessed the narcotic substance, intending to sell it in doses, is declared wanted.

Two citizens suspected of intending to buy narcotics are placed under investigation.

In implementation of the measures to prevent and strike at attempts to sell narcotics, the specialists of the Narcotics Investigation Section, in cooperation with the services of the Operational Support of Investigation Section and those of the “Shqiponja” Special Force, under the direction of the Prosecution, within the police operation codenamed “Shitblerja”, carried out a search at the home of the citizen K. N., 40, resident in Elbasan.

During the search, Police services found and seized, as material evidence, 1 kilogram and 130 grams of the suspected narcotic substance Cannabis Sativa (part of it divided into doses), 1 electronic scale, 1 hunting weapon possessed without a licence, 71,700 lekë and €100.

At the moment of the intervention, the 40-year-old was not found at home and intensive work continues to locate and capture him.

Meanwhile, the citizens B. D., 37, and A. S., 20, residents of Elbasan, were proceeded against at liberty.

The 37-year-old was caught near the home of the wanted citizen, where he is suspected of going to buy doses. From the physical check, one cold weapon (a knife) was found on him.

Near this home, the 20-year-old was also caught with a quantity of the narcotic substance on him, which he is suspected of having bought from the citizen K. N.

The procedural materials were referred to the Prosecution, for further action.
