Civil society writes to Amnesty International over The Hague: clarify the victims’ context, mention the Serbian crimes

Civil society organizations in Kosovo have sent a letter to Amnesty International regarding its report on the Specialist Chambers in The Hague.

In the letter, they ask the organization to clarify the context of the victims and to explicitly mention the Serbian crimes committed during the war in Kosovo.

According to the signatories, the report risks presenting an incomplete picture of the judicial process if it does not take into account the context in which the crimes occurred and who the victims were.

The letter also calls on Amnesty International to guarantee a balanced and fact-based approach in its reporting on the work of the Specialist Chambers.
