“Double your business”, 241 businesses apply for loans at 2% interest

Small and medium-sized businesses, as well as farmers, can apply online on e-Albania for financing at 2 to 3% interest through the “Double Your Business” program, a government scheme in partnership with the Bank of Albania and 11 second-tier banks.

The program gives small and medium-sized enterprises financing opportunities to expand their activity, buy equipment and increase production capacities.

According to the data, over 1,700 businesses have expressed interest, while 800 of them are in the process of being handled.

In the first ten days since the platform’s launch, 241 applications were registered through the e-Albania portal. Currently, 222 cases are being reviewed by second-tier banks and 20 businesses have received approval for loan financing.

Every investment realized is an opportunity for business growth, for new jobs and for more income for Albanian families.

A financing line of 250 million euros has been made available for the program, with the possibility of expansion up to 1 billion euros. Enterprises can benefit from financing up to 2 million euros, at a preferential interest rate of 2–3% and coverage from the Sovereign Guarantee of up to 70%, according to the application conditions and the banks’ assessment.

The application deadline is November 20, 2027. However, businesses interested in financing are advised to prepare their documentation and apply as early as possible.
