Foreign Ministry welcomes the joint list of Albanian parties in Serbia’s elections

The Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs has welcomed the reaching of the agreement to present a joint list of Albanian parties and political entities in the parliamentary elections of 25 October 2026 in Serbia.

In a reaction, the ministry congratulates all Albanian political factors in the Presevo Valley for the responsibility, political maturity and vision which, according to it, they demonstrated with this decision.

“This action conveys a clear message: the interests of Albanians are best protected when their political representation is united, coordinated and determined,” the reaction says.

According to the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs, dignified and effective representation in the institutions of the country where Albanians live requires unity, responsibility and a common stance on issues that directly affect the rights, welfare and future of Albanians in the Presevo Valley.

“This joint list should serve as evidence that when the political voice unites, representation is strengthened; and when representation is strengthened, citizens’ interests are better protected and their weight in decision-making processes increases,” the reaction continues.

In conclusion, the ministry stresses that Albania will continue to resolutely support the rights of Albanians in the Presevo Valley, their fair representation, full equality before the law, and the economic and social development of the Albanian community.
