‘Drishyam: The Conclusion’ surpasses the entire opening weekend of ‘Drishyam 2’ in two days: 112.98 crore rupees in India
‘Drishyam: The Conclusion’, the closing chapter of the famous Indian saga starring Ajay Devgn, has surpassed in just two days the entire opening-weekend takings of its predecessor, as Bollywood Hungama reports.
The film directed by Abhishek Pathak opened on day one (Friday) with 62.03 crore rupees and continued on Saturday with about 50.95 crore, reaching a total of 112.98 crore rupees after two days in Indian cinemas. By comparison, ‘Drishyam 2’ had collected 64.14 crore rupees over its entire opening weekend — so the new film is already 48.84 crore rupees ahead, or 76% more than its predecessor.
The comparison is even more significant given that 2022’s ‘Drishyam 2’ marked a major turning point for the franchise: it opened with 15.38 crore, collected 21.59 crore on Saturday and 27.17 crore on Sunday, to finish with 240.54 crore rupees in total and blockbuster status. Meanwhile, the 62.03 crore opening makes ‘Drishyam: The Conclusion’ the second-biggest opening of 2026 in Bollywood, after ‘Dhurandhar The Revenge’.
The figures show the extraordinary growth of the franchise, which began with a modest opening of 5.80 crore rupees for the first ‘Drishyam’ film and today collects over 100 crore rupees in just two days. With Sunday still ahead, according to Bollywood Hungama, the film is already in record territory, with potential to widen the gap with the previous chapters even further. Starring alongside Devgn are Tabu, Shriya Saran, Jaideep Ahlawat, Saurabh Shukla, Rajat Kapoor and Prakash Raj.
