Drugs, a weapon and cash in a home: 40-year-old wanted in Elbasan, two others face proceedings

A drug dealing case has been cracked down on in the city of Elbasan. Seized in connection with this operation were 1 kilogram and 130 grams of suspected Cannabis Sativa, an electronic scale, a hunting rifle, 71,700 lek and 100 euros.

Police have also declared wanted the man who possessed the narcotics. At the moment of the intervention, the 40-year-old was not found at home, and intensive work continues to locate and capture him. According to the announcement, two people suspected of intending to buy narcotics are also facing criminal proceedings.

“Elbasan / A case of narcotics sales is cracked down on. A quantity of cannabis, part of it divided into doses ready for sale, sums of money in lek and euros suspected to have been obtained from the sale of the narcotics, and other unlawful items are seized.

The citizen who possessed the narcotics, intending to sell them in doses, is declared wanted. Two citizens suspected of intending to buy narcotics are placed under investigation.

In implementation of measures to prevent and crack down on attempts to sell narcotics, specialists of the Narcotics Investigation Section, in cooperation with the services of the Operational Investigation Support Section and the ‘Shqiponja’ Special Force, under the direction of the Prosecution, as part of the police operation codenamed ‘Shitblerja’ (‘Buy-Sell’), searched the home of citizen K. N., 40, a resident of Elbasan.

During the search, Police services found and seized, as material evidence, 1 kilogram and 130 grams of suspected Cannabis Sativa (part of it divided into doses), an electronic scale, a hunting rifle possessed without a permit, 71,700 lek and 100 euros.

At the moment of the intervention, the 40-year-old was not found at home, and intensive work continues to locate and capture him. Meanwhile, citizens B. D., 37, and A. S., 20, both residents of Elbasan, were proceeded against at liberty.

The 37-year-old was caught near the home of the wanted citizen, where he is suspected of going to buy doses. A physical search found on him a bladed weapon (knife).

Near the same home, the 20-year-old was also caught with a quantity of narcotics on him, which he is suspected of having bought from citizen K. N. The procedural materials were referred to the Prosecution for further action,” police announced.
