Education ministry and Bureau for Education open public debate on gifted pupils: opinions accepted until October 10

The Bureau for Development of Education, in cooperation with the Ministry of Education and Science, has published a draft concept for discovering and supporting talented and gifted pupils, as Faktor reports. The Bureau-drafted document paves the way for an organized approach to identifying and supporting pupils with special aptitudes in schools.

All interested parties — teachers, parents, experts and the general public — are invited to take part in the online public debate and to send opinions and suggestions by October 10, before the final text of the concept is drafted.

The concept is expected to define criteria and mechanisms for the early identification of talent, forms of support in schools, and the role of educational institutions in developing gifted pupils.

The public debate is the first step toward a document expected to give new shape to talent policies in North Macedonia’s education.
