Egli Proga murder case: defendants request shortened trial, hearing postponed to October
The latest preliminary hearing in the murder case of Egli Proga lasted more than two hours, with the defendants requesting that their case be tried under a shortened trial procedure.
Denis Meçe, accused of murder committed in collaboration, asked for his case to be separated from those of the other defendants and to benefit from the shortened trial. The four other defendants in the case made the same request to the judge.
Due to the complexity of the case, the court was unable to reach a decision during today’s session and postponed it to October.
The next hearing is expected to determine whether the trial of the defendants accused of killing Egli Proga will proceed under the ordinary procedure or a shortened trial.
