Faithful Presence / Rama: It does not matter who you voted for, citizens will know where and when they can meet their representatives
Prime Minister Edi Rama published a video on social media this morning presenting the continuation of the “Faithful Presence” (“Prania Besnike”) initiative, which will take place every Friday at 17:00 across Albania. Rama describes “Faithful Presence” as part of a system that aims to turn listening to citizens into an obligation for their representatives.
“Faithful Presence sets a very simple rule: the citizen must know in advance where and when they can find their representative, in the same place, at the same time, with a calendar published beforehand,” Rama says.
According to him, every Friday at 17:00 representatives will be available to citizens for face-to-face meetings and hearings.
“Faithful Presence is listening in turn, face to face, one to one, in a low voice,” Rama says, adding that citizens who have a problem or concern can show up at the set time and place and wait their turn to sit across from their representatives. The prime minister also stresses that the initiative will have no party affiliation.
“Faithful Presence refuses party affiliation. It does not matter at all which party you belong to, it does not matter at all who you voted for,” Rama declared. He adds that citizens who were opponents of the Socialist Party during election campaigns can also take part in the meetings. “Faithful Presence” will continue every Friday, at 17:00, across Albania, according to the set calendar for meetings with citizens.
