“Wild About You”: the new musical with Jodie Steele and Stewart Clarke premieres on January 18, 2027 at London’s Charing Cross Theatre

The new musical “Wild About You” will raise the curtain at London’s Charing Cross Theatre from Monday, January 18 to Saturday, April 10, 2027, with the national press night set for Tuesday, January 26, as BroadwayWorld reports.

The initial cast is led by Jodie Steele (Heathers The Musical; Bonnie & Clyde; the UK tour of Six) as ‘Olivia’, Stewart Clarke (Stranger Things at the Phoenix Theatre; Les Misérables; Cabaret at the Kit Kat Club) as ‘Michael’ and Alfie Friedman (Dorian: The Musical; The Witches of Eastwick) as the protagonist ‘Billy’. Alongside them, Danielle Steers (Hot Mess; Just For One Day at the Old Vic; Six) takes the stage as ‘Jess’, together with other ensemble artists.

The story begins on the day of Billy’s high school graduation party: a young man who feels at odds with his future before it has even begun, he finds a chest of letters written for him by his late mother — who he had been told abandoned him as a child. The discovery takes Billy and his best friend Scoot on a journey to uncover the truth about his past and his connection to a woman he never knew, but who may be the very key to understanding where he belongs in the world.

The production comes from Keaka Productions LLC and Charing Cross Theatre Productions Limited, with Eric McCormack (Will & Grace; The Cottage), Michael Scott (The Hills of California) and Second Set LLC (Liberation) — and joins the calendar of new titles enriching the London stage in early 2027.
