Fierce debate over the ‘Territorial’ reform, tensions between Rama and the mayor of Poliçan! Representatives walk out of the meeting

Prime Minister Edi Rama’s meeting in Berat, where the Territorial Reform is being discussed, was accompanied by debate and tensions between the head of government and a group of citizens from Poliçan.

The hearing, held at a hotel in Berat, took a different turn after verbal clashes during the discussion of residents’ concerns. Among the representatives from Poliçan was actress Egla Ceno.

The meeting began with a presentation by the Minister of Local Government, Ervin Demo. After his speech ended, the representatives of Poliçan asked to take the floor to present issues related to their area.

During the discussion, the situation grew tense after a reaction by Prime Minister Rama toward the participants. The verbal clash continued with the mayor of Poliçan, Adriatik Zotkaj, as well as actress Egla Ceno.

The debate caused the delegation from Poliçan to leave the hall, interrupting their participation in the hearing on the Territorial Reform as a sign of protest against the way the meeting was conducted.
