Flights Suspended at Two Polish Airports Amid New Russian Strikes on Ukraine
The Polish armed forces were placed on high alert following new Russian air strikes against Ukraine, with authorities activating measures to protect the country’s airspace.
The airports of Lublin and Rzeszów temporarily suspended their operations while the security measures were implemented.
The Operational Command of the Polish Armed Forces announced that, through the Air Operations Center – Air Component Command, the necessary forces and assets had been activated, while ground-based air defense systems and radars were placed on alert.
As explained, these moves are preventive in nature and aim to protect Polish airspace, particularly in areas close to zones where threats have been registered.
