Former health minister Danica Grujičić: on October 25 vote for the Student List, not for Vučić and Dačić

Danica Grujičić, professor at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Belgrade and former health minister, said today that Serbia will disappear if power does not change in the early parliamentary elections of October 25.

In an interview with the Beta agency, she called on citizens to vote for the “Studenti pobeđuju” (Students are winning) list and never for the “Aleksandar Vučić–Ujedinjena Srbija” and “Ivica Dačić–Faktor stabilnosti” lists, which appear on the ballot as numbers 1 and 2. She said that on the student list there are people she dislikes, but far more that she likes, and that as a professor it is her duty to support them — she will vote for the student list, number 3.

Grujičić stressed that the elections would not have happened if the students had not “woken up Serbia”, adding that not everyone in the SNS is the same, but in these elections neither the SNS nor the SPS should be voted for. She admitted that in 2022 she made a mistake when she agreed to be the SNS list’s ballot carrier: she had a different vision of what a minister could do, but after becoming a member of the Government she saw how the state is run — the Government decides nothing and she had no place there.

She said Vučić had great influence on the Government’s work, but he does not decide alone: there is a group of 20–30 people who decide everything and set the Government’s agenda, making decisions contrary to the law. According to her, the new government must implement the law, reform institutions stuffed with “bots”, and change the bad laws in healthcare, education and justice.

If power does not change, she warned, “Serbia will not live to see the year 2050” — the revolted youth who want to live in their own country must not be lost, otherwise Serbs will become a national minority in Serbia.
