Former SHISH chief appeals security measure at the GJKKO Appeals Court

The former director of Albania’s State Intelligence Service (SHISH), Vlora Hyseni, has appealed the “house arrest” security measure at the Appeals Court of the Special Court Against Corruption and Organized Crime (GJKKO), her lawyer Kastriot Selita confirmed on Tuesday.

The case has been registered with the appeals court, and a draw is now expected to appoint the judicial panel and set the hearing date. Last Thursday, GJKKO imposed house arrest and suspended Hyseni from duty as head of the State Intelligence Service.

Hyseni is under investigation by the Special Prosecution (SPAK) on suspicion of the criminal offenses of “supporting the perpetrator of a crime” and “disclosing secret acts or data”. The case is linked to investigations that began with the file against businessman Ergys Agasi.
