Former U.S. National Security Adviser Michael Flynn: Vučić is an “excellent leader,” Serbia the fastest-growing economy in Europe

Michael Flynn, the former U.S. national security adviser, told Euronews Srbija that Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić is an “excellent leader,” a “good guy” and a “great thinker,” adding that he speaks “like an American.”

In his assessment, Serbia is the fastest-growing economy in Europe: “This means Serbia is one of the fastest-growing economies in the world, and that cannot be denied.”

Flynn urged Washington to use existing communication channels with Serbia instead of isolation and to sit down at the negotiating table: “The U.S. should think of using Serbia’s leadership as a very dynamic communication channel, with excellent relations with everyone.”

He criticized some U.S. congressmen for “closing the road to dialogue” and not thinking broadly enough; according to him, others in the region talk about the past, while Vučić thinks about the future — as Euronews Srbija reports.
