Gabriel Ebert to lead industry readings of the new play “This Should End Well”
Tony Award winner Gabriel Ebert will lead the industry readings of Lisa Lewis’s new play “This Should End Well” on Thursday and Friday, October 1–2, at New 42 Studios in New York, as Playbill reports.
The readings are directed by Marina Montesanti, while the cast, alongside Ebert, will include Roberta Colindrez (“Cult of Love”), Marcia DeBonis (“Small Mouth Sounds”) and Jasmine Sharma (“Twelfth Night”). Ebert, a Tony winner for the musical “Matilda”, has recently been in the spotlight for his role in the play “John Proctor is The Villain” on Broadway.
The play follows Jess, who asks her twin brother, Dan, to be the donor for the future baby of her and her wife, Tara. The request, however, opens a box of buried secrets, rivalries and impossible expectations in both of their marriages.
General management of the project is by ShowTown Theatricals, with casting by Sujotta Pace and stage manager Rebecca Azenberg.
