Government recommends work from home for employees of eight institutions in the “Nova Makedonija” building
The government of North Macedonia reviewed at today’s session the situation created by a technical failure at the “Nova Makedonija” building in Skopje, which houses eight state institutions, and recommended that their employees work temporarily from home, as Fokus.mk reports.
According to the government’s announcement, the measure is being taken due to water penetration into part of the electrical installations and the need to complete all technical and safety inspections before the building returns to normal operation.
The institutions housed in the building will reorganize their work so that employees can carry out their duties without being physically present in the building, until conditions are created for a safe return.
The government stresses that the measure is taken purely for preventive and safety reasons, with priority given to protecting the health and safety of employees, alongside the uninterrupted continuation of work processes and institutional functioning.
The competent services are working intensively to remediate the damage and create the conditions for the safe and full return of employees to the building.
