Haaland on his future at Man City: I trust the club, they know what they need to do

As they await the verdict, there is no little concern at Manchester City about the future of the team and some of its leading stars. In the spotlight is Erling Haaland, the Norwegian striker who could change destination if the punishment removes Man City from competitions in England, or from the race to compete for trophies.

In 2025, at the height of the debate over his future, Haaland renewed his contract until 2034. The new contract made clear that Haaland’s wish was to effectively close out his career with the “Citizens”, but the situation could change completely depending on the punishment handed down to Man City.

Asked about this aspect, about Man City being found guilty, Haaland said: “I haven’t thought about it, I trust the club, they know what they need to do,” Haaland said.
