Haziri calls Sveçla a coward: ‘That Xhelal who sits in the armchair raised on the blood of martyrs hit us’
Strong tensions were recorded on Monday near the Kosovo Assembly, where citizens and representatives of organisations emerging from the KLA war gathered to demand a second-reading vote on the draft law amending the Law on the Specialist Chambers, as Klan Kosova reports. The situation escalated and police used tear gas to disperse the protesters.
Among the protesters was Çlirim Haziri, the son of the missing hero Xhavit Haziri, who addressed a harsh statement to the Minister of Internal Affairs, Xhelal Sveçla.
“That Xhelal who today sits in the armchair that was raised on the blood of martyrs today hit us, shot at us, in front of our families, in front of our mothers, in front of our wives, and ran away with his tail between his legs, just as he is, a coward,” Haziri said, according to Klan Kosova.
Haziri accused Sveçla of sitting in a position raised on the blood of martyrs, adding that the minister left the scene after the clashes with the protesters.
At the protest, as Klan Kosova reports, there were also supporters of the platforms “Not in my name” and “Freedom has a name”, who are seeking legal changes related to the Specialist Chambers.
