Horror start doesn’t faze him — Klopp: I’d rather have a bad start and a positive finish

Germany’s first defeat under Jürgen Klopp came in Augsburg, against an opponent that had never before won on German soil.

That result put Klopp at the center of criticism today, though the coach tried to stay calm and asked for more time to give his team the shape he wants.

Like no Germany coach before him, the 59-year-old has begun his adventure with a draw and a defeat.

“I don’t want to think too much about the matches played, because we have two more ahead of us in the coming days. There’s nothing more I can say about the poor start. I’d rather have a poor start, but a positive finish,” Klopp said.
