Houthi projectile hits a school in Najran: Saudi civil defence reports material damage, no injuries
A projectile launched by the Houthi group has hit a school in the southern Saudi city of Najran, causing material damage, as Al Jazeera reports. The news comes from the kingdom’s civil defence, which stated there were no injuries from the incident.

Najran, located on the border with Yemen, is among the Saudi cities most exposed to rocket and drone attacks since the escalation of the conflict in Yemen. The Iran-backed Houthi group has intensified attacks into Saudi depth in recent weeks, regularly targeting air bases, energy facilities and now civilian targets as well.
The incident comes just hours after the Saudi-led coalition announced it had intercepted three Houthi ballistic missiles over Saudi Arabia — a sign that the exchange of strikes between the two sides is intensifying day by day.
The Houthi–Saudi confrontation expanded significantly during September, with Riyadh accusing the Yemeni group of attacks on the holy cities of Mecca and Medina, while the Houthis deny the accusations and say their attacks target the kingdom’s military and energy infrastructure.
