University of Montenegro signs memorandums with Logate and Solvership: scholarships for the best students
Cooperation memorandums with the Logate company and the Logate Institute for Information Technology, and a memorandum on scholarships dedicated to the best students of the University of Montenegro with the Podgorica company Solvership, were signed today at the university’s Rectorate, as RTCG reports.
The memorandums were signed by the rector of the University of Montenegro, Prof. Dr. Vladimir Božović, and the company directors Ivica Tatar and Prof. Goran Šuković. Under the general cooperation memorandums, the academic community will be connected with the IT sector through the exchange of knowledge and experience, professional internships, practical learning and mentoring support for students, as well as cooperation on scientific-research, development and innovation projects.
Under the programme “Scholarships for the best, jobs with the best”, Solvership will award scholarships to the best students of the University of Montenegro and offer them internships and professional training within the company. “It is important that our students, in addition to the knowledge they gain at the University, have the opportunity to work with people and companies that create and implement modern technological solutions every day… Through the scholarship programme we support the best students and give them the chance to develop professionally while still studying, to gain experience and to build their future in Montenegro,” rector Božović said.
“This cooperation for us is also a step closer to students and young people… As a company that has operated in the IT industry for two decades, we can offer students direct contact with the profession and work experience in a real business environment,” Tatar said. “Through cooperation with the University of Montenegro, the Logate Institute wants to give students more opportunities to learn outside the lecture hall as well. We plan to involve them in professional internships and practical learning, to organise workshops, trainings and lectures by experts from practice, and to offer them mentoring support,” Prof. Šuković said.
The meeting was also attended by Marina Banović, the rector’s adviser for economic and financial affairs, Đorđije Malović, head of business development at Logate, and Lidija Lakić, director of the UCG Centre for Communication and PR.
