Incident near the Futoška market in Novi Sad: SNS candidate Vukashin Gjokoviq tried to snatch the “Students win” flag

According to a video that the “Narodni heroji” neighborhood council published on social media, the parliamentary candidate of the Serbian Progressive Party list, Vukashin Gjokoviq, tried to snatch the “Students win” flag from supporters of the Student List near the Futoška market in Novi Sad, as the 021.rs portal reports, cited by Nova.rs. The moment was caught on video and was then widely shared.

According to the same report, pushing and a verbal clash also broke out there between the gathered SNS activists and the citizens who support the Student List. Gjokoviq, according to the portal, had also taken part earlier in incidents between SNS activists and citizens.

Among the SNS activists there was also the former director of the “Spens” sports center, Dragan Miliq, who told the citizens “I don’t see you” and “get out of here,” while his tenure at the head of “Spens” is remembered for the failed reconstruction of the indoor pool, which began to crack and leak as soon as the works were completed, while cracks were also seen in the renovated stands. Other SNS members who hold or have held functions in public enterprises were also at the scene.
