Iran: U.S. May Resume Strikes, Retaliation Will Be Fierce
Iran’s military said on Sunday it had received information suggesting the United States may resume strikes against Iran.
The Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters said, in a statement broadcast by state broadcaster IRIB, that Washington has decided to take action again against the Islamic Republic, with the support of several countries in the region.
Iranian forces warned that any new U.S. attack would be followed by retaliation against U.S. interests and bases in the region. Tehran also warned regional countries that they could be considered co-responsible if they support a new aggression against Iran.
Tensions between the sides have escalated since February 28, when the United States and Israel launched military operations against Iran. Tehran responded with attacks on regional countries hosting U.S. assets and closed the Strait of Hormuz, a strategic route for global oil and gas transport.
