“It has caused no concern among our partners” – Rama on the SHISH file and the investigations into Vlora Hyseni
Prime Minister Edi Rama, at the joint conference with European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen in Tirana, also spoke about the recent issues that have caused public debate, related to the investigations and the arrest measure for the former director of SHISH.
Rama said these developments have not affected European partners’ perception of Albania, while stressing that issues related to investigations should be left to the justice institutions.
“I want you to ask yourselves why the EU and the EC see events that here are treated as reasons to attack and spread waves of despair, as reasons to consider Albania a very serious partner and a country that has its aspirations linked to the facts of a daily effort in all aspects.
This is an issue that I think should be left to the court, not to the sporadic reading of investigative materials that are put out to confuse public opinion. The process will show whether or not there are things that have harmed anything in relation to national security or in relation to our partners.
Such a concern, which comes to us from the distributors of materials taken out onto the streets, has not come to us from any international partner. I expect the prosecution and the court to do their work and, in the end, the result will also come out,” Rama said.
