Jonathan Majors Returns to the Screen: Action Film “Run Hide Fight: Infidels” Debuts on Streaming
Jonathan Majors is officially back on screen. His new action film, “Run Hide Fight: Infidels,” debuted on September 16, 2026 on the Daily Wire+ streaming platform, marking the actor’s first cinematic release since 2023, when he was dropped from several Marvel projects after his conviction for assaulting and harassing his former partner.
The film, directed by Kyle Rankin, is a standalone sequel to “Run Hide Fight” (2020). Majors plays Captain Clayton Saunders, a former Delta special forces captain who joins students and a security guard to defend a college from a terrorist attack.
The 37-year-old’s return has not passed without controversy. The casting of Majors in the lead role and the film’s treatment of Islamic terrorism have sparked fierce reactions; the first teaser, which used real news footage from terrorist attacks, was described by many viewers as Islamophobic.
The shoot was also marred by incidents: in April 2026, Majors and co-star JC Kilcoyne fell from a window about two meters high, prompting several crew members to walk off the set in protest over workplace safety. The stage workers’ union IATSE subsequently declared a strike against the production. Producer Dallas Sonnier responded to the criticism in harsh tones, telling Deadline that “the entire industry is in free fall because of the strikes.”
Before the scandal, Majors was considered one of Hollywood’s rising stars, known for his role as Kang the Conqueror in “Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania.” It remains to be seen whether “Run Hide Fight: Infidels” will mark the start of a new chapter in his career or remain an isolated episode.
