Justice Ministry reviewing PDK bill, Gërvalla: careful analysis needed, without rushing
Justice Minister Donika Gërvalla has stated that the Democratic Party of Kosovo’s proposal to amend and supplement the Law on the Specialist Chambers and the Specialist Prosecutor’s Office is being reviewed by experts of the Ministry of Justice.
She said that once the analysis is complete, the Ministry of Justice will forward its opinion on this initiative to the Government, stressing that the process will not be dragged out, but neither should it be rushed.
“The challenges we face even these days require coordination by all of us on matters that have to do with the state, constitutionality, our history and our common future. Most things related to the specialist chambers are matters of high expertise. Great care is needed so that we do not make mistakes.”
“In the Ministry of Justice there are experts who are also analyzing the bill proposed by the Democratic Party of Kosovo. When we have it ready, we will send our opinion to the government. We will not delay it, we will send it soon. But we also do not want to rush and pay with lacking quality and unacceptable mistakes. More than words, we need cooperation and coordination, analysis and expertise so that in the end justice wins,” she said, as Telegrafi reports.
