KFOR Chief of Staff visits North Mitrovica
The Chief of Staff of the NATO-led KFOR mission, Brigadier General Chad Daniels, accompanied by staff officers, visited North Mitrovica to observe firsthand the engagement of the personnel of the Multinational Specialized Unit (MSU).
According to KFOR, the visit demonstrates the mission’s commitment to a visible presence on the ground and cooperation with all communities in Kosovo.
“Security starts with people. Every conversation, every handshake and every opportunity to listen helps us better understand the communities we serve,” General Daniels stated during the visit.
KFOR continues to implement its mandate based on UN Security Council Resolution 1244 of 1999, in close coordination with the Kosovo Police and EULEX.
The Multinational Specialized Unit (MSU) is a key part of KFOR’s presence in the north of the country, with tasks including patrolling and maintaining a safe environment for all communities.
