Kim Kardashian talks about life after Kanye West

Kim Kardashian has spoken more openly about her love life and the period she went through before starting her relationship with Formula 1 driver Lewis Hamilton.

In a new interview for Times Style Magazine, the reality show star said that after her high-profile divorce from Kanye West in 2021, apart from the brief relationship with Pete Davidson, she was “truly single for five years”.

The SKIMS founder, 45, described this period away from relationships as something “wonderful”, as it gave her the opportunity to devote herself to her children and her projects.

“I really felt no rush. I didn’t feel empty. I felt like I needed my own time,” Kardashian said.

She said that after the difficult split from Kanye West, with whom she has four children, North, Saint, Chicago and Psalm, she wanted to focus on herself.

“I wanted to heal completely and just work on myself. I wasn’t ready to open my heart. In fact, I wasn’t even thinking about it. The universe works in your favour when you just let it,” she said.

Kim Kardashian and Lewis Hamilton, who have known each other since 2014, made their relationship public at the beginning of this year, when they appeared together at the Super Bowl.

Since then, the pair have preferred to keep the relationship away from public attention, although from time to time they have shared sweet moments together on social media.

In July, Hamilton published photographs from a family getaway, where the couple appeared enjoying time together. A month later, the British driver also shared some intimate photos from a date with Kardashian, writing: “Resting, recovering and recharging”.
