Kosovo fall in Vienna as Zhegrova’s penalty is not enough

Kosovo suffered a 3-1 defeat to Austria in the match played at the Ernst Happel stadium in Vienna, in the second round of Nations League fixtures. A defeat that comes three days after the 1-0 success achieved in Pristina against Ireland.

In a stadium with a considerable presence of Albanian fans, the Austrians looked dominant, scored and celebrated in the end.

Affengruber broke the deadlock in the 23rd minute, while Adamu sealed the two-goal advantage in the second minute of first-half stoppage time. In the second half, Chukwuemeka scored the third for the Austrians in the 61st minute. The “Dardans” narrowed the deficit in the 83rd minute with a penalty converted by Zhegrova, but that was all — Austria win 3-1.
