Krasniqi: The KLA was convicted, not individuals

Altin Krasniqi, the son of former Parliament Speaker and former KLA leader Jakup Krasniqi, has reacted once again after the conviction of the four KLA leaders by the Specialist Chambers in The Hague. Through a Facebook post, he emphasized that it is not the individuals who were convicted, but the Kosovo Liberation Army itself, as Klan Kosova reports.

“The KLA was convicted, not individuals. If we strip away the positions they held in the KLA General Staff and judge them solely as individuals, on each one’s concrete actions, they would be free today,” Krasniqi wrote.

He recalled that the four also contributed to the creation of the state of Kosovo and that it was precisely because of their positions in the KLA that they became the key figures who negotiated and signed the Rambouillet Agreement.

“What hurts most is that, through them, the KLA and the sacrifice of an entire people have been convicted,” Krasniqi concluded.
