Kyiv under Russian missile attack; three cargo ships also hit at Ukrainian ports

The Ukrainian capital, Kyiv, is under attack by Russian missiles, the city’s mayor Vitali Klitschko said.

Reuters, citing eyewitnesses, reports that explosions are being heard in the capital. Meanwhile, earlier today, Russian forces also struck two cargo ships and a tanker at Ukrainian ports and in the Black Sea.

According to the Russian Defense Ministry, one cargo ship was hit at the port of Pivdenny and another in the Black Sea, while the tanker was hit at the port of Odesa.

The Russian Defense Ministry said all three vessels were used to supply the Ukrainian army.
