Lawyer Mishetiq publishes Vučić’s statement and demands answers: how did Macron know six days earlier that Thaçi would be convicted?

Hashim Thaçi’s lawyer, Luka Mishetiq, has shared a video of Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić in which he said he had received information from a European and world leader that Thaçi would be heavily convicted by the Specialist Court, as Telegrafi reports.

In a post on X, Mishetiq raised questions over how French President Emmanuel Macron could have known the outcome of the trial several days before it was announced, and why he had discussed the matter with Vučić.

“Serbian President Vučić met French President Macron on 10 September in Paris where, according to Vučić in the video below, he was told by a ‘European and world leader’ [Macron] that Thaçi would receive ‘a heavy sentence’,” Mishetiq wrote.

“How Macron knew the outcome of the trial at least six days earlier, and why Macron spoke to Vučić about this matter, are questions that remain unanswered,” he added.

On 16 September, the Specialist Court in The Hague sentenced Hashim Thaçi, Jakup Krasniqi, Kadri Veseli and Rexhep Selimi to a total of 81 years in prison on war-crimes charges, as Telegrafi reports.
