“Let’s spare the state these farcical games” — the SHISH case, analyst Leka: The opposition is scoring own goals
Analyst Martin Leka, in an interview on “News Line” on ABC News, commented on the case of former SHISH director Vlora Hyseni and the rejection of the opposition’s request for a debate.
Leka said the opposition should not use this case for political confrontation, while stressing that the procedures are already under investigation and that a security measure has been imposed on Hyseni.
According to him, holding an interpellation in conditions where the case is under investigation could create a risk of exposing sensitive information.
Leka added that, in a situation he described as a heavy blow to the state, institutions should avoid what he described as “farcical games”.
“The fact that the opposition seeks to use the case of the former SHISH director while she is under an arrest measure shows that the opposition keeps scoring own goals in its own net. To demand an interpellation in conditions where an arrest measure has been imposed and the case is under investigation is like dragging all the state’s secrets into a farce, while we have said that the state has suffered a fatal blow. I think we should spare the state these farcical games,” he said, among other things.
