“Liria Ka Emër” crosses Europe’s borders, reaches all the way to Japan
Support for the former leaders of the Kosovo Liberation Army has now crossed Europe’s borders and reached all the way to Japan. Members of the “Lybeteni” Karate Club from Ferizaj have sent a powerful message of support for the former KLA leaders, through the slogan now known throughout the Albanian diaspora: “From Japan — Liria ka Emër UÇK”.
The athletes from Ferizaj posed with the “Liria ka Emër” banner at two iconic Japanese locations — in front of the gate of a Japanese temple and near a Ferris wheel — turning their symbolic gesture into a message now circulating widely on social networks.
This gesture comes as part of the great wave of reactions and solidarity expressed everywhere in the diaspora and around the world in defense of the values of the liberation war and the former KLA leaders, following the first-instance judgment of the Specialist Chambers in The Hague against Hashim Thaçi, Kadri Veseli, Jakup Krasniqi and Rexhep Selimi, who were sentenced to a total of 81 years in prison. The decision is not final, as an appeal review is pending.
The “Lybeteni” karatekas’ initiative shows that the cause of the former KLA leaders continues to inspire even the new generation of athletes, who, thousands of kilometers away from home, do not forget the sacrifice for freedom, as reported by Klan Kosova.
