Lost in Dajti: Police rescue 2 German tourists in difficult terrain
Tirana police intervened on Sunday evening to help two German tourists who had lost their way in the Dajti area. Police say the intervention took place around 8:15 p.m. in mountainous terrain near Qafë Molla.
The two tourists were located in difficult terrain, where they were given the necessary assistance. They were escorted from the area where they had lost their way and were fortunately in good health.
“Tirana/Police come to the aid of 2 German tourists who lost their way in the evening, in the area behind Dajti mountain.
Around 8:15 p.m. on 13.09.2026, Tirana Police were notified that 2 German tourists needed help after losing their way in mountainous terrain near Qafë Molla. Immediately, the services of Police Commissariat No. 4 organized work to locate and escort them to safe terrain.
As a result of the immediate actions of the Police services, the 2 tourists were located in difficult terrain, given the necessary assistance and escorted from the area where they had lost their way, in good health.
They thanked the Tirana Police for the immediate reaction and the assistance provided. The State Police remains maximally engaged in guaranteeing the security of citizens, visitors and tourists, and invites everyone to call the toll-free number 112 for any problem or emergency situation,” the police statement said.
