“Maybe Happy Ending” takes to the ferry: Broadway stars film new “Hitting the Road” music video around Manhattan
The current Broadway stars of the musical “Maybe Happy Ending” have traded the stage of the Belasco Theatre for open water: Zachary Noah Piser and Hannah Kevitt filmed a brand-new music video for the song “Hitting the Road” aboard a Circle Line Cruises ferry circling Manhattan, as Playbill reports.
The video, released on September 25, 2026, shows Piser as Oliver and Kevitt as Claire performing the number from the Tony-winning music and lyrics by Hue Park and Will Aronson. The musical won six Tony Awards, including Best Musical, and is approaching two years on Broadway.
Piser took over the role of Oliver after the departure of Tony winner Darren Criss. Kevitt, an original cast member who previously served as an understudy for Claire, assumed the role for an extended run before the two joined each other on stage. The current Broadway cast also includes Dez Duron and Marcus Choi.
The show, which opened at the Belasco Theatre on November 12, 2024, follows Oliver and Claire, two retired helper robots in South Korea. The pair forms an unexpected bond and embarks on a surprising and romantic adventure. Direction is by two-time Tony winner Michael Arden.
The video arrives as the musical continues its run at the Belasco Theatre on Broadway.
