Mbappé vs PSG: how the court battle ended
The Paris Court of Appeal has ordered Kylian Mbappé to pay €60,000 in compensation to PSG for the “lack of liquidity” it suffered during the 45-day seizure of its assets, between April 10 and May 25, 2025.
This happened because the French champion, in the summer of 2024, had demanded from the French club a sum of €60 million in bonuses and incentives which, according to him, the club was refusing to pay.
This request was followed by a precautionary seizure of the club’s accounts.
PSG was ultimately forced to seek a last-minute credit line to meet its financial needs, which resulted in additional expenses.
In the end, PSG won the court case against Mbappé, who will not, however, have to pay the symbolic sum requested as damages for the image and reputation of PSG.
